Photography tips

People often ask me what editing software I like to use and the best dslr camera's for both beginners and pros, and how to get good quality pictures. Most of the time I try to treat taking an iphone photo the same way I would a photo for a job or my blog. So today is all about getting the professional pictures for both your personal and professional use.

Camera
The first camera I ever purchased was an entry level Canon DSLR I got off of eBay. I did not know too much about camera's so I started with something small to learn different settings. After that, I graduated to the Canon 60d and started experimenting with a new lens. I now use the Canon 5d which is a big step up from the 60d both quality wise and price wise, but I figured I wouldn't have to purchase a camera for a long time.

Setting
My favorite setting to use is Manuel, it allows me to play around and play with my surroundings and the light source I am given. I almost never use a flash when I'm outdoors as it can be a bit too harsh and I just prefer natural light.

Accessories
The very first lens I bought was a 50mm 1.8mm it's great for travel, takes sharp photos, and very affordable. Even though I have added more lens to my collection, most of the time that is the lens I am using for all my photos on the blog. I also have a 85mm lens that is especially good for portrait pictures and a 28mm which gives you a nice wide focal views.

Editing
Unless I have limited amount of time I always us Photoshop. I am sorry to say I haven't mastered the art of body distortion, but I use it to edit lighting, brightness, sharpness, and shadows. That is also how I create my collages for the site.
